Both musicians and sound engineers can find a use for this little calculator. It's very simple to use, but a few explanations might be needed. There are really two calculators in one here, although they have a common factor... the "Tempo" section. One of them calculates note durations at given tempi, which is rather handy for setting "slap back" reverbs and delays (which are usually indicated in milliseconds), to the exact tempo of the piece. The other calculates the total duration of a piece, given a tempo, the number of measures and the time signature. Click outside a changed field ot hit "Tab" (⇥), "Return" (↩︎) or "Enter" (⌅), to update the display.
You can now download this calculator, as well as the other little calculator available on our site, combined into one free application. The application is both for Windows (any 64-bit Windows should be just fine) and MacOS (running natively on both Intel Macs and Apple Silicon versions).
